Cristal Garcia is the Assistant Group Exercise Manager at Defined Fitness. Cristal was the starting shooting guard for the University of New Mexico Women’s Basketball team from 1999 – 2004. During her career at UNM, the team won one Mountain West Conference Championship, Runner up in the WNIT tournament and made school history by playing in the school’s first ever NCAA Sweet 16. In 2005, Cristal graduated from the University of New Mexico with her B.S. in Business Administration. In 2007 she received her Master’s from NYIT in Marketing and Project Management. She then accepted a job offer from the National Basketball Association (NBA) D- League where she was the Director of Corporate Sponsorship and Operations for five years. In 2011 she made the transition out of professional sports and into college athletics. She accepted a job with Learfield Sports/ University of New Mexico athletics where she was an Account Executive and over saw national and local Corporate Sponsorships for the Athletic department for 6 years. Cristal is very excited and honored to be a part of the Defined Fitness Family. She feels blessed to have the opportunity to work with amazing Group fitness instructors who have the same passion as herself in helping members build confidence mentally and physically while working out in a fun environment. Cristal believes that with a strong mindset anything is possible! When she is not in the office, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, being outdoors and enjoying life.
